The Pets in Peril Program is a great example of how marketing and design elements can come together to form a cohesive and successful representation of a business or program to the community.
During 2006, two community organisations (Animal Aid and EDVOS) came together to form an integral service to women who are sufferers of domestic violence. Tragically, this is an issue that is not reducing in our community. Thousands of women are affected by domestic violence each year
As well as the massive amount of women who are victims, there are other victims too. These include children and pets of the household. EDVOS had been working at establishing a program that provided relief to victims by offering temporary care for pets, providing a chance for women to leave their abusers knowing their pets will be cared for.
Creative Junction’s role in this process was to help coordinate the meetings and drafting of the brochure that explained the service and produced information to both
victims and other support services around Melbourne. As part of this process, assistance with the launch of the program, preparing invitations and assisting with media releases were some of the activities carried out with the Pets in Peril Team.
The Pets in Peril program is a great example of a collaborative effort of community groups and small business to deliver a cohesive message to the community, with the aid of various marketing and design tools.
